A note from Parent Guild – We will be hosting a ‘Year-End Play Date’ on Wednesday June 13 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The cost of the amazing play day is $20 and includes a barbecue, bouncy castles, face painting, Henna art, photo booth, obstacle course, games, and prizes. All of the proceeds raised will go towards ongoing fundraising efforts. All order forms are due Friday, June 1. What a great way to end an fantastic school year!

STAR STUDENT OF THE WEEK IS...........
Calendar- the special helpers put up the date, counts down to 100 days of school, and tells us what the weather is like today.
Agenda- Read 15 minutes a night, spelling sentences due Friday, African Lion Safari payment (if not done so already), track and field Friday, math test Thursday
UOI with language focus- Today students brainstormed about their favourite summer treat. They came up with 3 to decide from to create an opinion letter. Students wrote a letter to me about what their favourite summer treat is and why it is their favourite.
Math- Today we continued working with mass. Students completed a sheet where they had to determine what object would have a greater mass. They also used a balance scale to determine what had the greatest mass out of the objects they picked. Students picked 4 items and used the scale to order them from lightest to heaviest.
Unit of Inquiry- Students looked at plants and animals from the rainforest. They made a list of some plants and animals and completed a drawing of a rainforest.
