- the special helpers put up the date, counts down to 100 days of school, and tells us what the weather is like today.
- Read 15 minutes (students are asked to practice their story retell for their reading homework), complete body of retell sheet, spelling sentences due Friday, spelling test Friday
UOI with language focus- Students wrote a journal about what they would do if they woke up and looked outside noticing water up their knees.
Math- Today we went over what is needed to make a graph. We had a class survey about what their favourite colour is out of red, yellow and pink. As a class we tallied the votes and created a bar graph. We also placed 100 red squares and 5 blue squares in a bag and each student had a chance to pick a square. Students determined what the results would be and were pretty excited when they found out the results.
Unit of Inquiry- Today we discussed what an inventor is and what an invention is. Students made a list of things in the classroom that were invented and had to determine whether it was invented a long time ago or recently.
Daily 5- During this time we will be working on our story retell daily so can you please have your child bring the book and retell page daily.
